What documents do I need to open an account?
For sole proprietors: your Ghana Card (front and back) and basic business details. For registered companies: company registration documents (Certificate of Incorporation, Form 3, Form 4) plus the Ghana Card / ID of every director.
How long does the signup take to complete?
About 10 minutes if you have your Ghana Card and registration documents ready. You can save your progress at any step and finish later.
Can I save my application and come back later?
Yes — every step saves automatically and you can resume from any device using the same email or phone number.
How long does approval take?
Most applications are reviewed within 24–48 hours. Complex cases or PEP-related applications may take a few days longer.
What is a PEP and why does it matter?
A Politically Exposed Person is someone who holds (or has held) a prominent public position — like a government minister, judge, senior military officer, or close family member of one. Banking regulations require us to flag PEP-related accounts so we can apply enhanced monitoring.
What if my application is flagged or rejected?
Your assigned Business Development Manager will explain exactly what's needed and help you resubmit. Most flagged applications are resolved within a day of follow-up.
Do you keep my ID documents securely?
Yes. All KYC documents are encrypted at rest, stored in our secure compliance vault, and are accessed only by authorised compliance officers. We never share documents with third parties without your written consent.
When do you charge me?
Only when money moves. There's no monthly fee, no setup fee, and no minimum volume. If you don't transact this month, you pay nothing.
Are there volume discounts?
Yes. Businesses processing over GHS 500,000 monthly qualify for custom rates as low as 0.7%. Talk to our sales team to negotiate.
Are there hidden fees I should know about?
No. Every fee is on our pricing page. Withdrawals to your own bank, dashboard access, team members, branches, CRM, and customer support are all included.
How fast are payouts and settlements?
Settlements to your bank are same-day for transactions completed before 4pm GMT. PepaPay-to-PepaPay transfers are instant and free. Mobile money payouts arrive within 1 minute on average.
Can I send bulk payments by CSV?
Yes. Upload a CSV with recipient names, channel, account, and amount, and send to all of them in one click. Approval workflows are available for amounts above GHS 50,000.
Can I add multiple branches and team members?
Yes — every account supports unlimited branches and team members, with role-based access (owner, manager, cashier, accountant).
Is PepaPay regulated?
Yes. PepaPay operates under direct supervision of the Bank of Ghana. Customer funds are held in segregated trust accounts at tier-one Ghanaian banks.
How are my funds protected?
All customer balances are held in segregated trust accounts at licensed Ghanaian banks. Your funds are never used for PepaPay operations and remain accessible even in the unlikely event of business interruption.
Do you support 2-factor authentication?
Yes. SMS and authenticator-app 2FA are available for all dashboard and PepaCash App logins. We recommend turning it on for every team member.
Is the PepaCash App free?
Yes. The PepaCash App is free for every PepaPay account. Download it from the App Store or Google Play, sign in with your business credentials, and you're in.
Can multiple team members use the app at once?
Yes. Each cashier or branch staff can sign in with their own role-based account. The owner sees all activity in real time.
Does the app work offline?
Limited offline mode is available: you can generate QR codes and review recent transactions. New incoming payments require an internet connection to settle into your wallet.
